History
Partners Senegal is an NGO established in 2010 through the Partners for Sustainable Leadership Initiative of Partners for Democratic Change (PDC) to provide Senegal and West Africa with a leading conflict resolution and change management Center. Prior to the development of this Center, PDC was active in Senegal, working to assist USAID in determining future programming to improve Democracy and Governance in Senegal. PDC and Partners Senegal also collaborated with the US National Defense University’s Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS) on a unique program to enhance civil-military institutional relationships by building collaboration in the field of human security. From this collaboration the African Institute for Security Sector Transformation (AISST), housed in Partners Senegal, was born.
